Charles Lloyd will release Wild Man Dance 4/14 on Blue Note Records, the saxophonist/composer's first album for Blue Note in 30 years. The album is a live recording of a long-form suite commissioned by the Jazztopad Festival in Wroclaw, Poland. The North American premiere of "Wild Man Dance Suite" is 4/18 at the Metropolitan Museum Temple of Dendur in NYC. Will also perform twice at SFJAZZ (4/23-24) & on 5/2 at New Orleans Jazz Festival. Lloyd will be awarded the NEA Jazz Masters honor on 4/20.
