First edition of Milne's first published work of adult fiction. Pages have yellowed with age and are deckled with a red top edge. Front endpaper is inscribed with previous owners name in ink. Dust jacket contains rubbing and significant chipping along edges. Spine has multiple diagonal scratches and scuffing that has eroded the ink away. Hinges of dust jacket are chipped with signs of wear. Bookboards are in good condition with gilt detailing and green highlights around the title and author name.
