Overview

This is a late 19th century or very early 20th century version of an eight volume set of William Shakespeare's plays, with supplimentary notes and comments. This red leather edition is based on the folio of 1623. The first volume is inscribed "To Clarence from Aunt Mary, XMas, 1901." The first volume has a loose title page and the entire set is chipped along the spines and corners.
