From Maple Station to Riverline, the kingdom passes under markets, libraries, theaters, parks, and more. Queen Hazel listens closely, and Bramble the Scribe records every quake and victory on hazelnut-shelled sheets in the Council Burrow. Bridges have hair-rope railings and button bells as you cross the roadway. Even the little passageways evoke ancient songs. Mira, a mouse, avidly collects questions like seeds, while her best friend Pip, a tinkerer, crafts tools from springs and trash. He makes echo cones from teacup rims and paperclip compasses to find tiny air currents. They believe small paws may assist bear heavy anxieties when people work together, listen carefully, and have the courage to look ahead. When their story begins, the city's hum turns into a rumbling at night, and lanterns flicker like small, uncertain hearts. Something up there moves and presses pipes and seams. The kingdom must demonstrate that planning is love and shared courage is best. Mira and Pip continue forward as the floor shakes and a blue lantern blinks. Though uncertain, they are ready.
