Edward M. Cook's The Targum of Psalms: Text and Translation presents for the first time an edition of the Aramaic Targum of Psalms accompanied with an English translation. Students of Biblical and Targumic Aramaic will find this volume a helpful guide into the world of Targumic literature and its importance for the history of interpretation. Cook (PhD, 1986) is Ordinary Professor of Semitic Languages at the Catholic University of America, where he has taught since 2008. He is the author of Biblical Aramaic and Related Dialects: An Introduction (2022) and Dictionary of Qumran Aramaic (2015). He is the co-author, with Michael Wise and Martin Abegg, of The Dead Sea Scrolls: A New Translation (2nd ed., 2005).
