Signed, limited editon copy of Charles Cros' The Salt Herring, translated into English by Alphonse Allais, illustrated by Edward Gorey. Signed on the last page by Edward Gorey, numbered 165 of 300 sold copies, with an additional 26 copies printed for us by the author and illustrator, not for sale. The paper wrap has a bit of tanning, especially evident on the spine, with a few small stains. The interior also has some slight discoloration from age, but is otherwise unmarked.
