From Gary Allen, the author of the virulently anti-Communist expose, None Dare Call It Conspiracy, comes this tract about the now familiar trope of waste, fraud and abuse by government against the economy. Published in May 1974, just two months before Richard Nixon resigned in disgrace, Allen alleges that government is systematically looting the economy with its "America last" policies. Allen was a frequent contributing editor to American Opinion, a magazine started in the late 1950s by the extreme right-wing John Birch Society's founder, Robert Welch. Despite the Cold War rhetoric, it probably sounds very similar to current political arguments.
