First edition copy of the The Little Princesses: The Story of the Queen's Childhood by her Nanny. The book is a memoir about the childhood of Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret. It originally caused a stir in the UK for revealing private details about the Royal Family. Included ephemera: A 1937 souvenir bookmark commemorating the coronation of King George VI, who was the father of the princesses. This copy includes the original DJ, with a colored photo of the princess. This edition with its original DJ is difficult to find in the US. The DJ is a little frayed/worn at the corners of the book, and has a small tear at the top corner along the spine. The front hinge on this book is broken.
