Overview

This listing is for the complete, 51-volume set of the Five Foot Shelf of Books, including the main 50 volumes and the additional book of lectures. All hardcovers are maron cloth with gilt decorations on the spine and cover. Most covers are frayed along the extremities and scuffed across both covers, with severa showing splotchy discoloration. Some bindings are shaken or shelf-cocked, but all pages appear to remain in tact. Pages are beginning to fox and have tanned, but the textblock remains legible and free from underlining, highlighting, and marginalia. This classic encyclopedia set is rare to find in complete condition and makes an attractive addition to any collector's library.
