The civil wars that raged from 1639 until 1651 comprised the deadliest conflict ever fought in the British Isles and engulfed the entirety of the Three Kingdoms: England and Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. In this work, more than 150 maps depict in unprecedented detail the complete story, from the earliest skirmishes of the Bishops' Wars in 1639-40, through to 1651, when the Royalist cause was crushed with Charles II's defeat at Worcester, forcing him into a decade-long exile.
