Overview

Limited edition leatherbound two volume set of The Dramatic Works of George Farquhar. Both volumes are numbered, out of a 520 limited run, though volume one is numbered 198, and volume two is numbered 53. Boards have shelfwear along the edges and the spine, but no major damage. The gold accents on the spine are still clear and bright, with minimal rubbing. The gold leaf on the page edges is still bright, with normal age wear. The interior of both volumes have some light foxing, and some random pencil scribblings in the margins of a few pages in volume two, but is otherwise clean. An Ex-Libris bookplate is pasted to the verso of both front free endpapers, belonging to Ellen Terry, which a handwritten note in volume one claims to be, "the great Edwardian actress and friend of G. B. Shaw." An additional note written above the previous one states some repairs to the book were, "made necessary by Aldo's chewing the corners."
