"Have the courage to use your own reason." I would like to address this statement by Immanuel Kant to the readers of this book. Of course, consciousness can be viewed and explained from a physiological, i.e. physical-chemical point of view, as is explained here. This eliminates anything supernatural that has never made it into an acceptable key in the past. The theses: ► The brain decides with the aims it contains (which also include those of SELF). ► Consciousness is merely an increased awareness of the senses to provide the brain with current information.
