Overview

This 15-volume set is a limited Edition de Luxe from The Hawarden Press, numbered 414 out of 500. All of the books are bound in blue-green cloth that is in wonderful condition, with a gilt design and title on the spine. The top edges of the pages are gold, while the fore-edges and bottom edges are deckled. The binding of every volume is tight, and the pages are smooth and clean and in excellent shape. There is likely at least two volumes missing, as NEWCOMBES II is part of this listing, but not NEWCOMBES I, as is PENDENNIS I but not II. The year published can't be verified. There are a few small areas of damage to various volumes, such as minor dents in the top-right corners of the front covers of VIRGINIANS I and NEWCOMBES II; noticeable wear at the top and bottom of the spine of VANITY FAIR I; and a gouge between "Thackeray's Works" and the title on the spine of CHRISTMAS BOOKS/BALLADS.
