The Cambridge Edition of the Poets, later printing. Brown, cloth-covered boards with gilt wreath and lettering on the cover and gilt lettering on the spine. Black and white frontispiece of Lowell with tissue guard are both present and in tact. Cover is rubbed along the sides and spine, with the head and tail of the spine frayed and bumped. There is a white stain on the back cover. Top page edge is gilt, while fore and bottom edge are tanned from sun exposure. Navy blue endpapers, potentially replaced at a later date. Binding is sound. Pages are lightly tanned, but free from underlining, highlighting, and marginalia.
