The Book Of The Thousand Nights And A Night 17 volume limited edition set published by The Burton Club for private subscribers only. There is no publication date listed. It appears that the books were likely published between 1903 and the 1920's. The books all have light shelf wear and are in excellent condition for their age. They are each numbered 132/1,000 and have olive boards wrapped in plastic dust covers. There is light rubbing along the edges of the books. The spines of all are tight with volumes 5 and 17 having small parts of the lables torn off along the tops. Volumes 11 and 12 have pencil marks on their labels. The glue holding on the label of volume 16 is showing through the label. The first illustrations of volumes 1, 5, 7, 10 and 11 have a name watermarked on the pages, "Alexandra Jaqan". Volume 16 has a watermark on the first illustration stating "Made In USA". The pages have gold gilt heads and deckled edges.
