Overview

New Series hardcover edition of The Art Journal for 1878, which contains 36 steel or sculpture engravings. Page 231 is almost fully detached, but has been taped back together. None of the other pages appear to be detached or significantly ripped, and the binding feels strong. There are some stains at the top of the pages from previous moisture damage, and there is foxing throughout the entire book. However, the text, pages, and images are clear of any writing, highlighting, or underlining. The book does contain beautiful gilded edges, which have retained a nice reflective shine.
