Author William B. Lockhart, was famous for his participation in President Johnson's commision on obscenity. HIs recommendations for freer artistic expression found influence in late-20th century America. The gilt lettering on the cover and spine remains crisp and unfaded. The corners of the cover remain sharp and the binding firm. Only five of the 1,000+ pages have underlining or annotations by the previous owner. (These pages are all in the table of contents.) Overall, a very good addition to any library or private collection. Also suitable as tasteful law office decor.
