Signed by Covington, KY native Robert F. Schulkers, AKA Seckatary Hawkins. Author of a series of children's novels, 11 of his novels were published first between 1921 and 1932, although many appeared first in serialized form in The Cincinnati Enquirer and hundreds of other newspapers around the country.
This edition is signed on the illustrated endpaper in blue pen with the message "With all good wishes, from Secketary Hawkins". Dust jacket has been taped to repair tears and features loss on back of dust jacket, spine, and corners.
