This first edition copy of 'Spindletop: The True Story of the Oil Discover that Changed the World' by James A. Clark and Michel T. Halbouty is in excellent condition! Ernsy Reichl designed this edition, with a gorgeous and evocative watercolor painting on the dust jacket. The canvas hardcover itself has a powerful printed photograph of the events described in the book, with impressive atmospheric effects. This thorough, thoughtful design carries through to the inside of the book, with detailed maps as endpages, many high quality photograph throughout, dark grey foredge painting, and textured pages.
The dustjacket has very minor scuffing alon the top edge and mild color fading on the spine. Excitingly, this is the extent of this copy's wear and tear, despite its age! All pages are in pristine condition. After photographing for this listing, the dust jacket will be protected with mylar. This mylar can be removed safely, if you so choose, without damaging the book.
