This hilarious adventure follows one Tennessee son as he finds love, fun, and mischief all across the American South.
Wyatt Mashburn is always on the move. After spending his early childhood living in an old bus in rural Tennessee, he moved in with his grandmother in Layton, Alabama. Wyatt enjoyed his newfound stability but still longed for something more. He saved up to buy a used pickup truck and headed straight out of Alabama for points west.
After a pit stop in Montana, Wyatt moved back to Tennessee and met the amazing Maggie Fields. Maggie, like Wyatt, had a rough start, but with her considerable charm, wit, and heart, she set out to make her life better.
As Wyatt and Maggie grow closer, Wyatt discovers an old family heirloom with a mysterious message. Wyatt thinks nothing of it until he decodes its secret. The message is the location of the treasure of Barbee Collins, a local war hero and Wyatt's ancestor. Wyatt and Maggie know that you don't bother setting up a secret treasure hunt unless there's something worthwhile at the other end.
