This Little Golden Book tells the story of Smokey the Bear, the orphaned bear cub rescued from the Capitan Gap Fire in 1950. This is a fourth printing, indicated by the letter D on the last page, and features color illustrations by beloved children's author and illustrator Richard Scarry. The boards are creased and have some peeling along the edges and the spine is chipped. There are some pencil marks on the inside of the covers and on the back page.
