A compilation of three volumes of church records for Sinking Baptist Church in Carter County, Tennessee can be found in this publication. The first volume covers the years 1787-1791, followed by the years 1794-1803 in volume II, and then finally the years 1803-1879, each with a full-name index. This work includes a register of members in each volume, as well as a sketch of the church.
During church meetings, members would come forward to express concerns and requests. Everything from pray requests to weekly business were included in the church minutes.
