Fridthoj Nansen was a man of many talents, known for his arctic explorations and later in life becoming a Nobel Peace Prize-winning diplomat and humanitarian. Some people pack a lot of life into their time on earth! This book is Nansen's political and economic analysis of Russia, a nation which had recently undergone several upheavals, as had the rest of the world following the Great War. Dust jacket in wonderful shape, there is one chip in the front spine corner, and it has molded to the shape of the book. Cloth boards underneath remain a vivid red because they have been protected by the intact Dust Jacket these past 100 years. Quite rare to find this with a dust jacket, much less a jacket in such good shape!
