Intrigue in Istanbul? A suspect in Sofia? A ruse on the Riviera?
Scarlet Haslewood & Mr. White return for Book 2 of The Haslewood Mysteries
As Scarlet welcomes Thomas back from America, their new relationship continues to blossom. At the same time, Scarlet begins introducing Thomas to a few of her close friends - one of whom is Jacques, the kindhearted hotelier who took her in after the Great War. When they decide to visit him in Reims, they find out that Jacques has some exciting news: he's in love.
At first, the lovely Miss El onore Marchand seems the portrait of a perfect lady. But it isn't long before Scarlet gets a whiff of something suspicious. She's not sure what it is, but she's certain of one thing: there's more to Mademoiselle Marchand than meets the eye. And Jacques might just be too love-struck to see it.
So the only question is, can Scarlet & Thomas crisscross Europe piecing together the clues in time to convince him... or will they have to take a more 'creative' approach to stop him making what might turn out to be a deadly mistake?
Oh, right - and then there's the Englishman with a grudge, who hasn't forgotten about a little painting he purchased - or the French Comtesse who sold it to him...
No violence, sex, or foul language.

ABOUT THE SERIES:
Set in 1920's Europe, The Haslewood Mysteries follows the exploits of con artist Scarlet Haslewood as she employs her wit and charm to sniff out and stop other cons, grifters, and unsavory individuals. From Paris to the Riviera, London to Istanbul, join her for this fresh, fun take on light/cozy mystery that should appeal to anyone who enjoys clever dialogue, vivid descriptions, rich character development, and interesting plot twists. And the finest French pastries, of course.
While each book in the series has its own plotline that resolves within that book, the nature of Scarlet's personal journey and her relationship with Thomas is such that I would highly recommend starting the series at the beginning in order to get the most out of it
