Since first revitalizing figurative sculpture in the late 1990s with his exquisitely crafted realism, Ron Mueck (born Melbourne in 1958; lives and works in England) continues his profound observation of human experiences and emotions. Ron Mueck: Encounter presents sculptures drawn from across the globe. This illustrated publication on Mueck explores the evolution of his art practice and celebrates the development of a major new work, Havoc (2025). A selection of intimate images by French photographer Gautier Deblonde document the development of Havoc and Mueck in his Isle of Wight studio.
