(or Instructions For How To Mop) A book of poetry and prose drafted in only a few weeks every day during the end of a pandemic's shutdown. Took almost a year to edit. Inspired by both all that is life, and the books on the shelves and the cloudy days when the winter hangs lower than the sheets of ice from the coils of the roof. The book was typed without anybody in the shop surrounded by already published books that are now sold, a retelling of the myth of the Sisyphus, about a donkey carrying the world up and down the hill, forever and ever who, after the donkey gets done with college, done with living in a tent on lake Michigan, this damn donkey somehow ended up here. The donkey is the writer and the writer is me. Back up the hill the donkey goes, because that is what the donkey has been told to do until the death chirp whistles. (West Vine Press. 2021. 114 Pages.
