This is a four volume, first edition set of the novel sequence "Pilgrimage" by Dorothy M. Richardson, which features the first printing of the previously unpublished book "March Moonlight," and is considered by many to be one of the great 20th century works of modernist and feminist literature in English. Richardson was the first writer to publish an English-language novel (*Pointed Roofs* in Vol. 1) using what has become known as the "stream of consciousness" technique. The pages and dust jackets feature minor foxing.
