This is an early edition with black cloth boards and a green cover. The letters on the spine are gilt and there are both colored and black and white illustrations throughout. There is very little shelfwear to the book, with only slight rubbing at the corners of the covers and spine. There is a personal bookplate pasted onto the front endpaper and partially removed, with little damage to the book itself. There is some foxing on the papers, most notably on the title page.
