56 pages. This out-of-print hardcover tells the delightful story of a baby elephant discovering his own world. It's based on the author's experiences with a real elephants and is illustrated by Arthur August Jansson.
This hardcover has a slight bend to it that keeps it from laying completely flat. The text and images are still bright and legible, but there are scuffs and scratches on the front and back. The edges and corners of the exterior are fraying. The pages are still tightly bound, but the staples have pulled away at the hinge between the first two endpapers; the same has happened more severely between Page 56 and the final illustrated page, as it's pulling away from the spine. The interior pages have a few fingerprint marks but are otherwise clean and smooth.
