Overview

In the winter 1992/93 Francoise Cactus and Brezel Goring met while shopping in a bakery in Adalbertstrasse, Berlin. Francoise played in the French girl-garage-punk-RnR-Band Lolitas and Brezel had a experimentalnoise- copyright-ignoring-tapeloop soundeffects project. They joined forces and became Stereo Total; a woman, a man, and an inexhaustible sparkling imagination.In these early days Stereo Total featured minimalist production (meaning a homemade trash garage sound) crossed with underground, ironic, effective, political pop. Harnessing an untiring creative energy and an explicit and surprising sensitivity for electronic effects and a thrilling beat, Oh Ah was born. Stereo Total released their first album ""OH AH"" on the label Peace 95 in January of 1996. It featured recordings from 94 to 95 made at Alien Sound and a lot of 4-track home recordings. Kill Rock Stars is now re-releasing this album, along with Monokini, to complete the Stereo Total back-catalogue that is nowavailable in the US.OH AH, this was their debut.
