Scarce first edition 1965 publication of a story and illustrations by late Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts done circa 1961 while he was in art school. Published by Beat Publications Ltd as the Stones were starting on their meteoric rise. The book is Watts' homage to jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker for the tenth anniversary of Parkers passing, and shows the jazz roots of much of the London music scene of the early 1960's that would further incorporate American R&B and birth what became the British Invasion.
Dimensions are 5" x 7.125". Bumping on head and foot of spine, with minor yellowing to white boards. Edges of boards slightly bowed out at fore edge corners, with small soiling spots on front and rear boards.
Clipped tipped in price tag on front free endpaper, stating just "S". Originally would have said "Seven Schillings".
