Overview

Maggie Kincaid is marrying the famous and charismatic Colin Chandler. It's far from the quiet, reclusive life she envisioned when she retired from veterinary medicine and moved back to the States after many years practicing in Australia as a horse vet. She still must testify in a trial where high-level government officials have been caught running drugs from Mexico to the US. So, on her wedding day, she receives death threats. Is there a jealous woman who fantasizes about marrying the television and movie star? Or is it the cartel trying to make sure she is not 'available' to testify in the upcoming trial?

At the wedding she meets her former vet school instructor who has found bizarre evidence in the disappearance of her vet school friend, who was killed in a rock slide.

What has she stumbled into? Who is threatening her? The cartel reaches high into governments on both sides of the border. Where can she hide until the pending trial?
