An historical fiction novel set in Elizabethan England, following a young boy with a beautiful singing voice who is kidnapped by actors and taken to London, where he meets William Shakespeare and performs for Queen Elizabeth I. The story chronicles his adventures, captivity, and eventual journey home, offering a vivid look into the world of Shakespearean theater. Green boards with white, red, and gilt decorations on front and spine. Some rubbing to corners and ends. Binding is cracked at the front hinge, and the first few pages are very loose. Title page is present but has been torn from binding. Black and white illustrations throughout.
