From the author: Man with Chihuahua is loosely (and sometimes not-so-loosely) based on my own experiences as a new - and unexpected - Chihuahua daddy. I think Chihuahua lovers will recognize a lot of Decker's behavior and playfulness - I wanted to capture the doggy antics accurately, and hopefully that comes across. The Hollywood setting is something else I really wanted to catch the flavor of, along with the importance of music in our lives.
