Signed by Illustrator E. H. Suydam. Suydam is best known for his sophisticated, stylish and romantic illustrations of beautiful women and romantic scenes. Suydam was also noted for his twelve illustrations for Jules Verne's Master of the World and his illustrations for classic books such as A Christmas Carol, Home by the Sea, and Casper of Gasoline Alley. Suydam was also Great-Uncle to comic artist Arthur Suydam. Item is slightly cocked with tanning throughout, and deckled edges. DJ is present, but in poor condition.
