Known as the "Greatest tank battle is history", the Battle of Prokhorovka was waged between the Soviets and Germany. It was a massive armored engagement on the Eastern Front during WWII, and was a single day battle. With 1700 pages and it's oversized volume, this book was published in a small print run because of the a tremendous expense it was to print. The book includes 29 fold-out maps, 94 maps in the text, 41 charts, graphs and diagrams, 166 tables, 194 statistical sheets covering each engagement, 100 separate sidebars of discussion, 66 German and Soviet commander biographies, and four photo sections with 289 photos. The information inside is drawn from both teh Soviets and German records.
