Limited, signed edition collecting the satirical misadventures of Robert Smith Surtees's Cockney sportsman charact Jorrocks, featuring gilt embellishments, watercolor illustrations by Gordon Ross, and an introduction from famous book-collector A. Edward Newton. The condition is very good. The boards are undamaged with gilt still bright; the deckled text block is clean; and only the slip case is chipped at its very edges. Signed by the illustrator on the limitation page at the end of the volume. Numbered 1339/1500.
