Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell was an American actress, model, and singer who was a top Hollywood sex symbol in the 1940s and 1950s. Born in Minnesota, Russell starred in nearly two dozen films, including The Outlaw (1943) and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) with Marilyn Monroe. She left Hollywood in the mid-1960s for stage and commercial work.
