"High Society is the second collected volume, and first volume-length story" of Dave Sim's Cerebus the Aardvark comic series, and the first to be published "phone-book" style. It is also the first instance of Sim telling a complex piece of political satire for which he would later be known. Signed by the author on the title page. The illustrated cover had, at one point, come unwrapped around the backstrip of the spine, where a dismal repair job to glue the wrap back has left dampstaining and stripes of paper along the binding between the title page and the cover, perhaps some of the first pages before the proper story were cut or ripped out.
