This is an early book club edition of the bestselling horror novel about a New York family that moves to an isolated New England village with a dark secret. It was made into a mini-series starring Bette Davis and David Ackroyd in 1978. It has black boards with gold lettering and an unclipped dust jacket in a protective vinyl covering. There is some browning to the interior of the book, particularly the endpapers, and the first free endpaper has the name of a previous owner embossed on the lower right corner.
