Overview

First Edition. "Introducing Barbie's Younger Sister," the first Skipper doll was released by Mattel in 1964, and this is the first book to feature and center Skipper, "a lively girl who has a habit of starting a project and then going on to another one without finishing the first," which causes a bit of trouble for herself and best friend Imogene Ann. Prominent instances of rubbing to cover edges and bumping to corners, frequent instances of scuffing to back cover. Illustrated throughout, with some color block illustrations and illustrated pastedowns. The blocky handwriting of a child is opposite the title page, adding charm to this vintage chapter book.
