His 1932 Glamorous Sinners details the famous murder of architect Stanford White (1853-1906) by railroad and coal heir Henry Thaw (1871-1947) over his wife, Evelyn Nesbit (1884-1967), a popular American chorus girl idealized by Charles Dana Gibson (1867-1944) as a "Gibson Girl."
