A memoir of Hanna Reitsch, the only woman to be awarded the Iron Cross from Hitler for her achievements in flying during World War 2. Known for her many test flights for Nazi Germany and her loyalty to Hitler's ideals for the country, this memoir tells her life in her own words, detailing her childhood dreams, piloting during the war, and life after Germany lost. One chapter details her particular conversation with Heinrich Himmler, Telling him to counter the clearly "enemy propoganda" that Germany was using gas chambers in concentration camps, to which Himmler replied "You are right." This book is an ex-library copy and has no Dust Jacket, the blue boards show some rubbing on the edges of the spine and covers, with pages slightly tanned. With insights into the military history of Germany during the war and conversations with major figures of World War 2 history, this is certainly a great piece for any history buff.
