Overview

In the shadowed cities of modern Italy-Milan, Rome, Padua, Udine-five lives cross the invisible frontier between truth and illusion. A magician who reads destiny but fails to see his own. A wife who performs desire before a hidden audience. A woman who turns aging into a spiritual performance. A daughter who unveils herself from the cocoon of obedience. A philosopher who trades thought for fame. Five Mirrors of the Modern Soul explores the fragile intersection of passion, deceit, and awakening in a postmodern world that worships appearances and forgets the sacred. Written in an intense, lyrical, and continuous prose, these stories reveal the naked psyche of our time-where love, betrayal, and the hunger for meaning reflect one another like shifting constellations in the same mirror.

About the Author
Roberto Minichini is an Italian writer and poet, born in 1973 in Mainz, Germany, to an Italian father from Naples and a Croatian mother from Zagreb. Since 2000 he has lived in the border city of Gorizia, where languages, cultures, and histories overlap like mirrors of identity-an atmosphere that deeply influences his work. His writing blends psychological realism, metaphysical reflection, and an unflinching observation of contemporary relationships. Five Mirrors of the Modern Soul is a collection that continues his exploration of illusion, desire, and the fragile search for authenticity in a world of appearances.
