This special illustrated edition of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" was published in 1869. This is the second edition, the first was published in 1868. Drawings by S. Eytinge, Jr. Engravings by A. V. S. Anthony. This edition features 25 illustrations and gold sprayed edges. The cloth hardback is in good condition with significant wear to the inside and outside of the binding. On the outside, the top and bottom edges of the cloth binding are chipped and clipped. On the inside, the binding is cracked in multiple places, most significantly at the front opening pages and between pages 72 and 73. There are small owner inscriptions on the first two pages, one in pencil and one in pen. The cover has liquid and aging stains.
