A young adult novel, ghost-written by Larry McMurtry. a historical fiction novel written under the pseudonym Ophelia Ray (believed to be Larry McMurtry) that tells the story of a young Native American girl named Tiwana, belonging to the Tejas tribe. This stated first edition is bound in grey cloth covered boards with black lettering along spine, slight foxing along head. DJ is chipped along all edges and contains a one inch closed tear at head and half inch closed tear at foot. DJ clipped. Signed and inscribed by the author on first front free endpaper; "Best wishes to Robin, Alice Ann, and Martha from the friendly Tejas Indiansand from the author - Ophelia Ray."
