A compilation of all eight parts of the original serial. Book is bound in gree board with floral illustrations on the cover; title and author's name are gilt on the side. Cover board is slightly frayed, particularly at the spine; there are tears at the bottom corners. Decorated end papers are slightly torn at the hinges; front end papers have a modern bookplate on it.Binding remains intact, though there is wear to it that suggests the book should be handled carefully. Pages discolored slightly with age, but no notable markings on the inner contents; small stains are visible on the top and bottom edge.
