Overview

"A complete, practical course of instruction by International Grandmaster Larry Evans." This book "assumes that the student knows absolutely nothing about chess and leads him to the point where he can conduct an intelligent game. It is a complete practical, modern presentation of the 'royal' game. The visual approach, using 183 diagrams, enables anyone to learn at a glance." The book and red cloth boards are in Very Good condition. The top of pages show discoloration from dust. There is no back endpaper so the last page 188 shows some discoloration from rubbing against the back board. The dust jacket is price clipped on the inner front flap and both inner flaps have some discoloration.. There is a 3/4 inch tear at the top right corner of the jacket front and a1/2 inch tear on the bottom. The back of the jacket has a 3/4 inch tear at the bottom and a 1/2 inch tear at the top. There are also small tears at the top of the jacket on either side of the top of the binding.
