First edition, first printing. Limited numbered edition, #2903 of 5000. This book is one of the earliest, if not the first, books to be called a "graphic novel." It is based on a short by Robert E. Howard, creator of Conan the Barbarian. The book is bound in grey cloth boards with gilt lettering on the spine. The book is in near fine condition, with light bumping at the corners of the boards and light soiling of the page edges. The dust jacket is in good condition, with moderate bumping at the corners, a couple of small tears along the front top edge, and moderate rubbing along the fore edge and the edges of the spine.
