Originally published in 1756, this sixth edition was published two years after Ferguson's death. Ferguson was largely self-taught having only received three months of formal education. Rebound in leather, the cover is quite clean and bright. The spine is embossed and banded with gilt font. Includes 18 fold out charts and maps. There are handwritten notes in the margins throughout the book. Several pages seem to have had some repairs done to them.
